The other night around 4AM, I was lying in bed trying to get to sleep, windows open... When off in the distance I hear this creepy ass noise that sounded somewhere between a dog barking and a person screaming. It came closer, and closer until the sound was clearly coming through my window loud and unobstructed.
So I look out the window, and sitting there in the middle of 14th st. and Lincoln was a small, skinny 4 legged animal, just'a barkscreamin' away. It would sit down, stand up, lie down, stand up, turn in a circle, sit down... Then it took off down the street and stopped making noise.
Bobviously there are foxes in the area, as I've seen them before, but I'd never heard one making a noise anything like that... So I pondered to myself "Could that have been one of the mysterious, elusive DC-area coyotes!?!?!"...
Well... No, it was just a fox. I found a site with fox sounds, including this one, which is 100% exactly the noise it was making.
Which then brings up the question... Was this one of Arlington's mysterious, elusive rabid foxes that I heard had bitten someone just a couple days earlier? It sure were acting strange...

April 14th is the assessment test for GED Prep courses. Must contact people to find out how to get in on the action... And, in the meantime, try to brush up on some things myself using my gigantic 6 year old GED book.
I just saw an interesting show on the history channel about a boy in an iron coffin found buried in DC a few years back.
Good stuff.

Current GED courses end in April... I need to remember this, so as not to forget to sign up for the next round... Assuming I feel like it when the time comes.
I discovered a bunch of my dad's college textbooks in the basement... Psychology. Payed off well for him as a carpenter. 30+ year old Psychology... I'll bet it's outta sight.

It's too bad that BioShock used the exact same mid-game plot twist as it's "Spiritual predecessor", System Shock 2.

1:20 am - Starbucks ordered to pay $100M in tips
|
"The judgment comes as Starbucks is struggling to revive its U.S. business, where store traffic has slipped amid a sagging economy, rising energy and dairy costs, and growing competition from cheaper rivals.
The company's stock has slid more than 50 percent since late 2006, when it was trading close to $40 a share. Starbucks shares rose 3 cents to $17.53 Thursday."
Poor Starbucks...

6:58 pm - "So you're going to sell your Wii"
|
I'd much rather have a new computer. I haven't touched the thing since Resident Evil 4, which is a game I already own on GameCube anyways, Wii's still sell like hotcakes (and for near-new prices for a used console), and I don't have any friends to look forward to playing any future games with. And anybody who'd be interested in multiplayer gaming has a Wii of their own that we could play on.
Way to be the future of gaming, Nintendo. (That part won't be in my sales pitch)

I bought a book. Let's see where this leads me.
I took a brief peek at an online GED prep questions and became quite flustered about 3 questions in when I realized I couldn't remember, nor could I comprehend, even the most basic levels of edumacation.

Remember when I had hair? Note to self: 3 24oz bottles (6 cans minus that canned taste) of Dr. Pepper per afternoon/evening is a bit much. Especially when your dinner is half a bag of Reese's minis. What else can I do to pass the time at 4:15 in the morning? Ready a flick and a bag of popping corn? Test my blood sugar? I watched The Terminator. I don't remember anything about The Terminator. This was all tonight, mind you. Sorry to get complicated. Do carry on.
